What we collect, and why

The only personal information this site collects is what you choose to give us through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, province, an income or corporate-surplus range, and anything you write in the message field. We ask for the income range so the conversation you requested can be prepared properly; you are welcome to leave it at the lowest tier if you prefer not to say.

When you submit the form we also record which page you sent it from and a one-way hashed form of your IP address, used only to identify abusive automated submissions. We do not record your actual IP address alongside your enquiry.

What we do with it

Your enquiry is stored on this website and emailed to our office so we can respond. It is used to prepare for and follow up on the conversation you asked for — nothing else. We do not sell personal information, share it with third parties for their marketing, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while the conversation they relate to is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, and are deleted on request. If you become a client, information you provide is then governed by the record-keeping obligations that apply to licensed life insurance business.

Analytics and advertising

If measurement tags are enabled on this site (Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta), they set cookies to measure how visitors reach and use the site, including whether an enquiry was sent. IP anonymisation is enabled for analytics. These tools receive no information you type into the form. You can block cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site or the form.

Where it is stored

This website and its database are hosted in Canada or with providers serving Canadian traffic. Email notification of your enquiry travels over ordinary email infrastructure.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC’s Personal Information Protection Act), you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a revised date.
